Strategic Alliance with Intuwave Ltd. concerning software modules related to wireless middleware and applications

Zion, Ltd. (Head office: Minato-Ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Kimiyuki Kobayashi; hereafter called "Zion") agreed to enter into a strategic alliance agreement with Intuwave, Ltd. (Head office: Maidenhead, U.K., CEO: Ariel Gorfung; hereafter called "Intuwave"), a leading developer of middleware software and services that enables the rapid creation and deployment of applications for smartphones.
Intuwave is specialized in development an underlying architecture, considerable know-how and a variety of software modules related to wireless middleware and applications. Intuwave’s m-NetworkTM, a middleware platform developed specifically for the wireless environment, allows smartphone and PC or administrative PC/server at a separate location to find the resource of each other to be shared and controlled. It also enables applications to work offline and operate reliably.
Zion, specialized in the field of network intelligence, offers consulting and development related to large-scale Internet infrastructures, with its own high level of authentication technologies, know-how and related wireless applications for the clients.
The objective of this alliance is to leverage Intuwave’s and Zion’s complementary strengths for the benefit of both companies and for the benefit of both companies’ potential partners, customers and clients. Integrating Zion’s authentication technologies with Intuwave’s wireless related know-how, both companies will offer new service solutions wuch as peer-to-peer connections between mobile phones with more security. Thus the solutions will enable service providers to provide business users with most advanced mobile services, creating a new market.
Intuwave and Zion intend to carry out joint marketing and sales activities in order to identify mutual clients from the Mobile Operators and Device Manufacturers located within Japan. Zion will offer consulting services to the jointly identified clients, propose and develop a solution to fit its requirement utilizing Intuwave’s products and technologies.
