Exent Technologies signed a strategic cooperation
agreement with Fujitsu. The agreement is expected to earn Exent millions of dollars.
Under the agreement, Fujitsu will
use Exent's application-on-demand (AOD) platform to expand its broadband application
services.
Triangle Technologies brokered
the deal, Exent's first in Japan. Triangle Technologies manages business development
for Israel companies interested in penetrating Japan's market, and provides financial
consultancy for Japanese enterprises wanting to invest in Israeli companies.
Under the agreement, Fujitsu will
install Exent's customer server technology on its broadband network. Fujitsu's network
provides broadband applications access throughout Japan.
Exent was founded in 1992 by CEO
Zvi Levgoren. The company develops AOD applications, which enable content transmission
over IP networks for various advances uses. The company's investors include AOL-Time
Warner (NYSE:AOL), Comcast Interactive Capital, Temasek Holdings and SingTel of
Singapore, Bezeq, US fund New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Israeli funds Magnum
Communications Fund and Concord Ventures.
