$10,000,000 RAISED TO LAUNCH DEALTIME K.K.
Triangle

services in Japan, and expects to become a major e-commerce
player in the Japanese market.

in the US, searching over 7,300 online/offline retailers,
auctions, online classifieds and group buying sites. It was
recently named by Internet World as one of the ten most influential
products and services for 2000. Access to offline retailers

of Triangle Technologies, who organized and executed the establishment
of DealTime.com K.K., including organizing the investment
syndication. "Japan is currently experiencing an Internet
and e-commerce boom," commented Mr. Oikawa, "and the timing
for Dealtime.com to establish a strong presence in Japan is
excellent. As far as we know, DealTime.com K.K. is the first
Israeli Internet company to form a joint venture in Japan.
The joint venture model in Japan is particularly appropriate
for foreign e-commerce companies due to the need for local
content, marketing, brand creation, and customer service."
"Japan
is an important and strategic market for DealTime.com", commented
Dan Ciporin, CEO and President of DealTime.com. " We believe
that the joint venture structure will maximize value for our
shareholders, and the ultimate goal is to take DealTime.com
K.K. public in one of the Japanese stock exchanges in the
future. We are extremely proud of the quality of the Japanese
joint venture partners, who will make a strategic contribution
to DealTime.com's success in Japan, and they give us a tremendous
advantage over the competition."
"Dealtime.com
is the leading site for comparative shopping in the US", said
Mr. Hiroshi Ikegaya of JAFCO, which has invested in quite
a few Israeli companies. "There is a strong requirement for
such a convenient e-shopping service in Japan and we believe
that DealTime.com K.K. can play a pivotal role in stimulating
Japan's e-commerce sector."
