Phone-Or Raises $8 Million in a Private Placement
 
     Triangle Technologies Ltd. (Ramat-Gan) announced today that Phone-Or Ltd. (Or-Yehuda, Israel) completed raising $8 million in a private placement. Leading the round of the investment was the STAR Group Investment bank, Triangle Technologies, played an instrumental role in the investment round by bringing various East-Asian investors, among which are JAFCO Co. Ltd. (Japan), Kwang-Hua Investment Holdings Ltd. (Taiwan), and Chiloo Industries Ltd. (Taiwan). Other major investors included Inventech Investment Corp. Ltd., Cyphertec Ltd., Tamar Technology Ventures, as well as other private investors.
 
     Phone-Or specializes in optical sensors which are based on the detection of changes in light. In the case of microphone applications the sensors translate sound into movements of light, thus detecting sound with exceptional fidelity. Phone-Or's BNS (Background Noise Suppression) microphone systems also have superb acoustical noise cancellation, unbeatable directionality and can be integrated into diverse applications ranging from Hands-Free Car Kits (HKF) to speech recognition applications, cellular telephones to various Telematics applications. Phone-Or's fiber-optic microphones ensure optimal performance in studio/stage microphones and security/military applications, as well as medical equipment.
