Technologies Signs Exclusive Distribution Agreement Between Mitsui
and MedSim
Triangle
Technologies announced today that Mitsui & Co. of Japan signed
an exclusive agreement with MedSim Ltd. of Israel to distribute
MedSim’s UltraSimâ ultrasound training systems in Japan.
The agreement, worth $US 3 million, calls for the distribution
of “several dozen” simulators over the course of three years, reported
Yoshinori Oikawa of Triangle.
MedSim
is a leader in the development, manufacture, marketing and distribution
of medical simulation systems. Its simulation systems enable healthcare
professionals to expand and enhance their medical knowledge and
improve their skills. MedSim also provides training and professional
development courses for healthcare practitioners in ultrasound,
trauma care, and anesthesiology.
Medsim’s
flagship product is the UltraSimâ ultrasound training
simulator which allows medical professionals to perform sonography
examinations on a mannequin while viewing real-time sonographic
images. All the essential data and analysis are also provided y
the simulator. There are over one hundred installations of the UltraSimâ
worldwide.

of Eagle Simulation, Inc., and its PatSim, patient simulator product

and other technology-related areas. Mitsui is one of Japan’s leading
