Triangle Technologies of Ramat-Gan Signs Distribution Agreement Between RADLAN (Israel) and Paltek (Japan)

Triangle Technologies Ltd. announced today that RADLAN Computer Communications Ltd. has signed an agreement with Paltek Ltd. whereby Paltek will become RADLAN's distributor in Japan. According to terms of the agreement, Paltek will sell RADLAN's Routing Operating Software (ROS) to leading manufacturers of communication and networking equipment in Japan.

RADLAN's Routing Operating System (ROS), is a generic routing software package which provides a smooth migration path for data and telecom system and chip vendors that want to implement a scalable, Layer 2/3/4 and 5 routing switch solutions within their own products. The ROS architecture is designed for task distribution between an ASIC forwarding engine and the CPU. The ROS software package delivers full routing services and is based on an open architecture that is designed for task distribution between a variety of ASIC forwarding engines and CPUs. Furthermore, the ROS architectural design differs from other software manufacturers in that it is already built for running high-speed routing and forwarding algorithms in new Layer-3 switching architectures where packet forwarding is performed by an ASIC or a DSP (digital signal processor). Consequently, the ROS requires less effort in implementation than any other existing package to meet time-to-market targets.

"We consider Japan a pivotal market within RADLAN's Asia-Pacific strategy," stated Larry Leibson, RADLAN's Vice-President of Business Development. "This agreement with Paltek not only affords us excellent access to Japanese manufactures of communications and networking equipment, but significantly enhances both our presence and commitment to the Japanese market."

"The agreement with Paltek is expected to generate sales worth several million dollars, over time, to leading Japanese manufacturers", commented Ilan Kieselstein, Triangle Technologies' Internet and communications project manager who is responsible for RADLAN's activities in Japan. "We believe that Paltek is a well-suited partner for RADLAN because Paltek has a wide customer base and excellent technical understanding of both the product, customer's needs and market trends."

"Paltek is in the business of providing solutions to our clients who are members of the Network Equipment community in Japan, said Mr. Niall Keegan, Network Group Leader in Paltek. "Routing technology is one key area that our clients have requested our help. We beleive that through working with RADLAN we can supply our clients with not only the products they need but also many years of product design and test experience which no other company is in a position to supply."
